We are

Rim of the World Interpretive Association

Rim of the World Interpretive Association (ROWIA) is a California nonprofit, public-benefit corporation founded in 1982 to foster a better understanding of the natural history and resources of the San Bernardino Mountains. In partnership with the U.S. Forest Service, we maintain and staff Heaps Peak Arboretum.

ROWIA’s mission is to raise public awareness of and inspire active interest in the San Bernardino Mountains through nature-focused educational activities. Our vision emphasizes caring for the National Forest, including area treasures such as Heaps Peak Arboretum.

The many ways to support

Donate

Help fund us!

Please consider donating to ROWIA. It all adds up. We depend on your donations to do our work; we do not receive monetary support from the National Forest Service. The brochures we print, the signage we display, the benches and fencing we replace are all paid for through your monetary support. If you have a non-monetary donation you’d like to give, contact us!
